JONATHAN FERRARA GALLERY proudly hosts the 27th iteration of our annual call for artists - NO DEAD ARTISTS: International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Art. NO DEAD ARTISTS is a vetted exhibition known for a great diversity in media which showcases a cohesive cross-section of the pulse of Contemporary Art. The exhibition’s name is derived from the old adage that artists never achieve success until they are dead. NO DEAD ARTISTS turns that notion on its head and gives emerging artists their first break in the art world. The call is open through 19 JUNE 2023 and the exhibition participants are selected by an ever-changing group of three prestigious arts professionals.
ELIGIBILITY
Living artists worldwide, at any stage of their careers may apply. All media is accepted. There are no size restrictions apart from the constraints of the gallery walls (up to 19 ft) and ceiling height of 11.5 ft. Work must be available for sale during the exhibition dates.
APPLICATION
To apply, go to www.jonathanferraragallery.com and click CALL FOR ARTISTS in the top menu of the homepage. If you do not already have one, create an entrythingy® account and begin uploading your resume, biography, artist statement and images of 1-5 artworks, which you would like to submit for the show. A single application may contain up to FIVE artworks for consideration. Each submission is allowed up to three additional detail images per artwork. All images must be in .jpg format and videos in .mov format - high resolution files around 1MB are preferred. All works must be for sale to be included in the exhibition.
*Please don't be hesitant or discouraged to apply! This application process is the primary way we form relationships and conduct our exhibition research for new artists. Numerous artists not selected for the exhibition have been included in other exhibitions and even sales through the gallery.*
