The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission (KCAC) seeks submissions of completed art sculpture work for the two-year outdoor gallery exhibition for 2023-2025. Works should be of durable materials that can withstand the diverse Pacific Northwest elements over the two-year exhibition. Artist should be aware that there is no protection from the weather in this outdoor gallery and we ask that the artist take into consideration the Pacific Northwest weather for each of our four distinct seasons.
The outdoor exhibit will feature six completed artworks from between one and six artists. Artists will be paid a total of $2,000 per selected sculpture, distributed in two installments over the two-year exhibition. The works selected for this public art exhibition will be on loan to the City for a period of twenty-four months (24) and, at the request of the artist, may be available for sale during that time. Artists will receive all proceeds from the sale of their work as the City does not take commission on Park Lane sculpture sales.

The Public Art Commission of Salida (PAC) in tandem with the City of Salida invites artists to apply for a call of a visual art piece in a pre-determined outdoor space in late-Fall 2023. The PAC is looking for a 3-D outdoor sculpture/work/installation that is contemporary and can be viewable from a distance. The selected artist’s or artist-lead team’s work will be installed in an outdoor location near a multi-use trail at an entrance to the downtown business sector and the Creative Arts District adjacent to an urban skate park and downtown section of Highway 291.
The enhancement of this public place by integrating the creative work of artists improves the pedestrian experience and acts as a “gateway” into the heart of Salida. Ideally, the considered concept should be considered a “landmark” that can be associated with Salida, one that will draw attention and encourage engagement. Artists/artist teams will be selected based on artistic excellence and demonstration of skill and quality craftsmanship conveyed in examples of past work, resume, and the strength and originality of concept.

'The New Renaissance' rings out as a clarion call to artists everywhere, across all mediums, styles, and visions. We warmly invite you to join us in this multifaceted exploration of contemporary creativity. This forthcoming exhibition is more than a showcase of art; it's a rendezvous point, a resurgence of the limitless spirit of discovery and expression that epitomized the Renaissance, yet reimagined for the vivid complexities of our modern world.

If you've dared to perceive the world from a fresh angle, to challenge the status quo, and to weave together disparate ideas, we eagerly anticipate your contribution. This exhibition serves as your platform, an opportunity to engage in an ever-evolving dialogue that spans past and future, the known and the uncharted.
With this exhibition, our objective is to experience 'The New Renaissance' through your distinctive lens as artists. Your work forms the prism through which we strive to understand and appreciate this dynamic, collective revival. It is you, the artists, whom we invite to breathe life into 'The New Renaissance.'
